Default Date change for 1st points race may 14,2011

I would like to thank everyone who has come out and supported the El Paso Morotorplex.
Joe Pena and his crew have done a great job getting the season started. Points winners and place winners will be receiving their jackets, prize money, trophies, and plaques on May 14 during the racers meeting.

Sign-ups for this years points series will be during the first race. A new schedule will be posted 1st part of next week. We will also be revising last years Rule Book with a racer committee to discuss changes. I will be calling some of you soon.

I was just informed of the new changes coming to the track:
Revised timing system
1/8 mile times will be added and in place for May 14 (great for juniors)
construction on new tower will begin asap (just for Ben to do his magic)
plans for a new water well in the works
permanent bathooms and concessions are being planned for construction
A new Ford tractor with blower & broom has been purchased and ready to go

We will have test and tune on a fully prepped track, the night prior to every points race
The existing track crew will stay the same as always. We are also looking for used slicks for the slick machine. We need large slicks, about 8 sets. Free passes will be given out for donations.
May 14 details $1,000.00 PRO (electronics)
750.00 PRO/MOD (no box)
500.00 STREET/MOTORCYCLE
purse is guaranteed with 16 car field****

HELMETS REQUIRED IN ALL CLASSES NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!

We want bracket racing to be a big part of El Paso. Lets get racing and start getting this season going asap. New coming events include heads-up racing, speed shop shoot-outs, and domestic and import classes. Isis and I look forward to seeing everyone back at the track. Vic 588-8119

Joe and his crew put on a very good first race of the year. It started on time and ran very well. We need for this to continue, always on time.

@ Vic, WOOHOO!

@Chevy2, thank you for noticing. Joe and crew were kind enough to stay in the background, so I could do my job like I do at ASR. As, long as that continues everything will continue to run on time and smoothly.
