ASR May Drag Races
Big turnout for a hot day at the drags as 80 racers showed up for
ASR's third drag race on the schedule.




Pro Final Video - Carl Barley from AZ was not going down
in the finals cutting a .504 and running 11.28 on 11.27 dial!
Carl got the win over Gordy King Jr. from Alamagordo NM.

Mod Final Video - Andy Wiles in his Duster cut a .513 light
in thefinal to get his second Mod class win of the season
defeating Robert Bonjione on his Kawasaki from El Paso
This win also increased Andy's lead in the Mod Class points.

Street Final Video - Danny Dean in his Purple Duster from El Paso
took out Javier Estrada in his V6 Camaro, also from El Paso.

Motorcycle Rick Peterson from El Paso bought a new bike Wedensday before the race, cruised 500 miles to break it in, brought it to ASR and won the Motorcycle class! Pretty good for his first time on the bike!

The ASR Doorslammer Low ET Record holder, Gordy King Jr.
appeared in yet another ASR Pro final. Gordy also took the Best
Reaction Time award in time trials nailing a perfect .500 light!
Best reaction time in time trials gets him free entry to the next race.

Pat Muller from Silver City running in the 10.8's in his big Ford Torino

* Ignacio Hernandez Jr won the Dash for Cash in the 27 Chevy Altered.*

Gary Hill from El Paso brought out his big block Mustang
with a new convertor and got the Ford to run a 9.03 with a 1.2 - 60' time.
- Still working the bugs out on this new set up too.

Vince from the Hot Rod Connection drove Ceaser's
turbo Trans Am to run Modified. Vince took out
ASR Modified regular David Nowell in the first round.

Motorcycles had their own class with a few all out drag bikes.
