Thunder Alley Dragway March 23rd! Unfortunately it looks as though this was the last race at Thunder Alley. It's sad to see it close.

John Duran, "Family Affair",made it further than rest of the 28 cars in the Pro class to face off against JR Mijares in the finals.

JR Mijares is on his streak and has pretty good odds of winning when pulling up to the line at Thunder Alley Dragway.

Pro Semis! David Rodriguez lost to John Duran in the Semis and Geno Leyba lost to JR Mijares. Geno Leyba took out David Rodriguez for the 3rd place run off.

Ray picked up his second win out of three races. He's known for winning the pro rated purses and this day was announced to be pro rated as there were 17 cars in the class. This race was pro rated even though the track promised that every race was a guaranteed purse this year.

The Mod Finals! This Bug Eyed Sprite caught everyone by surprise and made it to the finals in there first times out at a bracket race. They had only done a few test and tune days until this race.

Semis Finals, Ray got the bye run!

I took the whopping $50 3rd place Check in the Buick!

Kim Holliday was out in her Chevelle making it her second time ever racing. She made it to the semis in Arroyo Seco first time out, so watch out Mr. Ward and Javier Estrada!

Larry "Big Gun" Anderson had the itch to race and ran his daily driver T-Bird in street. He has plans to make a few races in his 460 Powered Ranchero later this year.

It was a toss up between John Duran and Eddie Orozco for the burnout pic of the race.

Ouch!

Tony Bernard took all the good pics (from the stands!)- thanks Tony!

WHEELS UP!

Walter Andrews brought out his totally redone Mustang and layed down some solid 9 second passes - 9.6's! The car looked really good after it's major modifications, and Walter said it drove very straight with no problems. Unfortunately Walter had some trouble with the hook on his car tripping the lights and got disqualified in the 3rd round giving the automatic win to John Duran.

Mr. Jackson - the man has no equal when it comes to smooth talkin' on the PA and trash talkin' anywhere! Theres always some good laughs with Mr. J on the mic!

Was this the last race down the track? I hope not.
