Dezert Demonz

Shootout Saturday Night 5.21.05

The Chevy vs. Ford event turned out to have only 3 Chevy -
2 of those boke before eliminations. The lone Chevy running was a blue '72 Chevelle from Juarez facing off against 6 Mustangs. Unfortunately for the Chevy fans the Chevelle lost first round, leaving an all Mustang semi final. After the final rounds were done, Ray Frescas in his supercharged black '85 GT picked up the big Trophy running an 11.20 in the final. Ford Wins this one! > more <

Eddie Cordero took home the IHRA Ironman Trophy after defeating a red lighting Bob Nicols and his AMC Gremlin in the Modified (No electronnics) finals. Eddie was back behind the wheel of the Cordero Racing Chevelle.

Unfortunately we also found out that Rolfe Sasenfeld hit the wall during time trials almost head on. The Corvette fiberglass front end was destroyed. Hoepully the damage is not that bad.

All MSD Final at Friday Night Top Dog Shootout -
Friday Night at Dezert Demonz 2.18.05
After getting cancelled the last two Friday nights Dezert Demonz finally got to hold the first Top Dog Shootout for 2005. It was a good turnout but not as big as most Shootouts - no one really knew about this one or if it was going to happen. Luckily it did, it was a nice night too.

It was a pair of MSD employees running for the first official ET record at DD.
