Big turnout for a hot day at the drags as 80 racers showed up for
ASR's third drag race on the schedule..

Cliff Wells got another win at Dezert Demonz
In the finals it looked like Vince rolled out of the starting light beam and triggered the red light giving Cliff an automatic win. I think Cliff's earlier pass of 10.03 was the fastest pass of anyone for the night.

over Robert Bonjione from El Paso.

Street:
Javier Estrada from El Paso edged out
Danny Dean, also from El Paso in a double breakout final.

Modified:
Tommy O’Rear from Alamagordo, NM defeated
George Aguilar from El Paso in another close race.

Winter Blast Shootout Saturday - December 16th

Geno Leyba had the fastest machine on the property running a 10.33. Joe Fry driving Peter's Old G Getter Monza was the only other Outlaw car. Since only two cars showed up for Outlaw they split the reduced $150 prize money.

These are a few of the videos I got before the battery died.

Arroyo Seco Racway- Last Race for '06
110 Racers entered for the last event for the year at ASR making this the best turnout since 2003. Everyone enjoyed the great weather considering it's November, and best of all no rain and little winds. Unfortunately the Pro class could not be finished up due to some oil downs and light problems causing a few delays and re-runs forcing the event to run into the night.But the Motorcycle, Street and Modified classes were finished. We didn't try the wireless internet signal, but the new ASR radio station with the PA was working great and getting used by many. Good news is we should have a ton of great photos to post of this race since Chuy Nava and Vicky "soon to be Frescas" Hirzel were there.
